Tech Talk, Made Easy
Here’s what the work-light terminology means:
- 4000 lumens: Lumens measure total light output. The highest setting is the brightest, while lower settings are used for longer runtime.
- Spotlight vs. floodlight: A spotlight concentrates light for distance; a floodlight spreads it wider for nearby area visibility. Combined mode uses both.
- 5000mAh battery pack: mAh measures stored battery capacity. Runtime still depends heavily on brightness and beam mode.
- Power-bank function: The battery pack can provide power to charge another compatible device.
- 500-hour runtime: This maximum figure is specifically associated with a low-output setting, not the 4000-lumen maximum.
- IP66: Dust-tight and protected against powerful water jets; it is not the same as an immersion rating.
- NVG shroud: A common mounting interface found on many helmets; the SAR variant includes compatible mounting hardware as described above.
Wide when you need it, focused when you don’t. Serious illumination made easier to understand.
